To promote environmental conservation through public education and rehabilitation of native Texas wildlife.

TWRC is an emergency facility for injured, ill and abandoned wildlife. Our center is open 7-days a week to accept wildlife from the public. TWRC provides various outreach programs to the public concerning wildlife and environmental issues. Various volunteer opportunities are available for all ages.

Established in 1979, TWRC was Houston's first emergency wildlife center founded in response to an oil spill.

 TWRC is located west of the Beltway 8 and north of IH-10 on Hammerly Blvd. We are in an industrial complex on the south side of Hammerly. There is a field in front of our building which faces Brittmore Rd.
