Weekly Spotlight:Volunteers needed to help new clients!

This "Triage" volunteer will serve as one of the first contacts with our customers.  They will introduce our customers to the basics of NMCAA programming and guide them to the appropriate programs.

 
This volunteer will welcome and receive customers by phone and walk-in. They will answer basic questions, provide information for referral, give client needs assessment, and help fill out an assessment if needed. He or she will then copy and forward these referrals and needs assessments to the appropriate staff persons.  The volunteer will pre-screen requests for utility assistance, handout or mail intake applications and/or information packets, and explain what a customer needs to bring to an appointment.  He or she will be responsible to maintain a record of actions taken.  
 
Essentially, the "Triage" volunteer will explain NMCAA community services, get customers to the right staff person or to the right information, and help set up appointments and/or classes.
