Navigate people out of poverty

MSU Extenion & Char-Em Poverty Reduction Initiative

Poverty is real. You can be part of the solution.
Who do you call when you need help? Do you have a network of contacts to call on? Most of us do, but like all people, those in poverty associate with their peers and in this case that means others in poverty. You can help break this cycle of poverty by sharing your network. By virtue of not living in poverty, you have skills and resources that can help. Be a part of the solution by joining as a Poverty Reduction Initiative Navigator. People help people escape poverty.

Navigators are one call away for someone in poverty that needs to get around the red-tape. You will be available to answer the call and help them ease through roadblocks. Only individuals that attend the April 23 Opportunity Conference will have access to your phone number.

For more information on Char-Em Poverty Reduction Initiative visit: www.char-empri.org

Navigators must complete a training course on March 19, 2010 from 9am-12pm. You will also have to be available for 1-2 hours in the afternoon to come to the Opportunity Conference April 23 at Boyne Mountain, Boyne Falls to be introduced to people that need your assistance.
