The Future Project is a national education movement that unites young adults and high school students in order to re-inspire our public schools.

Description:
We partner young adults with under-served students and challenge each pair to spend a year building a project that is designed to make a difference in their community. These projects might be anything—a hip-hop dance tournament, a school garden, a micro-tech enterprise, a basketball league—just as long as it begins and ends in passion.

While working to create these projects, Future Coaches and their partners meet for 90 minutes each week as part of a team of eight, which serves as an instant support system and vibrant community.

History:
The Future Project is a national education movement in the spirit of the Peace Corps, Teach for America, and Big Brothers, Big Sisters. In Fall 2011, The Future Project will launch in four schools across three cities: New Haven, New York, and Washington DC.
