Agency Details:

Christians Reaching Out to Society, Inc. (C.R.O.S. Ministries)
Last updated on February 2, 2015

The mission of C.R.O.S. Ministries is to collaborate with people of different faiths and organizations
to create solutions to the unmet needs of people in our community.

The programs of C.R.O.S. include:
Six Community Food Pantries
The C.R.O.S. Caring Kitchen hot meal program
The ACCESS Program
A Gleaning Program
C.R.O.S. Camps Program
Holiday Food and Gift Programs

The C.R.O.S. Community Food Pantries are located in Belle Glade, Delray Beach, Indiantown, Lake Worth, North County (Jupiter), and Riviera Beach. These pantries provide emergency food to individuals and families in need throughout Palm Beach County. The food pantries serve more than 40,000 people annually and almost half of those served are children.

Inside many of these pantries, we also have an ACCESS Program, assisting clients applying online for government assistance such as SNAP/Food Stamps.
The C.R.O.S. Caring Kitchen is a hot meal program in Delray Beach which serves lunch Monday - Friday from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. and dinners on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m. We also deliver meals to those who are homebound three days a week and two bagged lunches are given out for Saturday and Sunday. The goals of the Caring Kitchen are to serve the hungry, to build a sense of community across diverse age, economic, religious, and racial groups and to help those who are able to become self-sufficient.

Through the C.R.O.S. Gleaning Program, hundreds of thousands of pounds of fresh produce are harvested during the gleaning season (Dec. to May). This fresh produce is then distributed to agencies feeding the hungry.

C.R.O.S. Summer Day Camps and Residential Camps are offered to children from families with low incomes, throughout Palm Beach County. C.R.O.S. camps provide a safe and nurturing environment where children learn more about God's love.

Through the C.R.O.S. Holiday food and gift programs, over 1,000 children and youth receive gifts each year for Christmas and hundreds of families receive Thanksgiving and Christmas food boxes.

Many volunteer and staff hours are also put into advocacy activities around health and human service issues.

C.R.O.S. Ministries, an interfaith ministry serving Palm Beach County began in 1978. C.R.O.S. works with over 90 congregations and groups throughout Palm Beach County and hundreds of volunteers. We are supported by congregations, businesses, individuals and also receive some funding from foundations.
