Food bank volunteers help distribute food to clients at our food bank, as well as sort and repackage food for distribution. Food bank shifts are available weekdays, Monday through Friday, for about 3 hours. No weekend shifts at this location. We are especially in need of volunteers on Thursdays and Fridays. Can you help us fill this gap?

Work weekly, monthly or occasionally. For more information or to fill out an application, visit www.northwestharvest.org.

Our schedule:

Morning shift: 8:45am - 12pm

Mid-day shift: 11:45am - 3pm

Afternoon shift:

2:45pm - 5:30pm (Mondays and Wednesdays)

2:45pm - 5pm (Thursdays and Fridays)

Closed Tuesdays, evenings, and on weekends

Groups: Maximum of 8 volunteers

 The Cherry Street Food Bank is located at 711 Cherry Street in downtown Seattle. It is on the south side of Cherry Street between 7th and 8th Avenues. Bus routes number 3 and 4, which head southbound on Third Avenue through downtown Seattle, turn east on James. If you get off at the stop at 8th and James, you are within a short block and a half of the Cherry Street Food Bank. If you are driving, from I-5 northbound, take the James Street Exit. Stay in the center lane. Go straight through the light at James Street to the second light, which is Cherry Street. Turn right onto Cherry. The food bank is in the middle of the block on the right. From 1-5 southbound, take the James Street Exit. Stay in the left lane. Turn left at the first light, which is Cherry Street. The food bank is 1½ blocks up the hill on the right.
