The Queen Anne Food Bank At Sacred Heart
Last updated on July 25, 2014

The Queen Anne Food Bank at Sacred Heart provides healthy food-assistance to low-income and homeless people in Seattle through our sack lunch, hot soup and grocery programs. The Queen Anne Food Bank serves every person that comes to our door and others in need without discrimination and with the utmost respect for their dignity.

Description:
The Queen Anne Food Bank serves about 125 sack lunches per day, five days per week to homeless people in the lower Queen Anne and Bell Town neighborhoods. Additionally, we serve hot soup 5 days per week and have a food bank that is open on Thursday afternoons from 2pm-4pm. All of our food is donated by individuals and local grocery stores. We are a new, community-run organization interested in involving as much as the Queen Anne, Bell Town and Greater Seattle community as possible.

History:
The Queen Anne Food Bank opened its doors in February 2012. Formerly operating in the food bank facilities was the Sacred Heart Saint Vincent de Paul conference which ceased operation in November 2011 due to lack of funding. Since opening, we have involved a variety of churches, schools and local businesses in our efforts to feed hungry people in Seattle.
