Description:
Volunteers of America is a national, faith-based human services organization that helps some of the most vulnerable families, children and seniors in our communities lead safe, healthy, independent and productive lives. As part of the national Volunteers of America, Western Washington is rooted in the long standing tradition of compassionate, holistic service that addresses some our communities’ most important human service issues. Our services are delivered through a partnership of 400+ professional staff, 1200+ volunteers and other community supporters.

History:
Since 1898, Volunteers of America has been skillfully evolving into the broad-based, insightful organization that it is today. Over the years, Volunteers of America has adapted to meet the changing social environment and growing needs. Helping where help is needed and teaching people how to lead self-sufficient lives have been cornerstone principles in this evolving organization.
