Habitat restoration team members assist and work alongside the Arboretum’s Field Staff to carry out ecological restoration projects in the main Arboretum and at its outlying properties. Volunteer naturalist's assistants should enjoy interacting with children, have an interest in ecology and nature, and be excited to participate in outdoor games, art, and music. Propagation & Planting volunteers provide seeds and plants to the native plant gardens, researchers, and for ecological restoration projects on Arboretum properties. Volunteers participate in an array of activities from seed collecting to propagating by seed, cuttings or division. They also plant seeds, seedlings, trees and shrubs in restoration areas; weed the plant nursery; and dig and prepare trees more
