The Wheelchair Ramp Accessibility Program (WRAP) provides timely home access to people in need. We are a coalition of volunteers and service organizations who work together to build custom wheelchair ramps giving people with limited mobility the freedom to easily enter and leave their homes. Watch us in action!

History:
In 2004 an idea was born.

Aging Services enlisted Rockwell Collins Retiree Volunteers (RCRV) to design and construct wheelchair ramps for their elderly clients. And that’s when we learned there is tremendous and immediate need for wheelchair ramps in our area, and not just for the elderly.
In 2005, a coalition of agencies and individual came together to explore how to deliver cost-effective and timely wheelchair ramps to persons with disabilities. Design work began and the Wheelchair Ramp Accessibility Program (WRAP) was officially named.

The coalition continued to grow for the next four years, and in 2009, we hired our first staff member, an intake coordinator to manage our client requests. And one year later, in 2010, we became a non-profit organization.

Since 2005, we have grown to include 18 Coalition Partners. We work with more than 25 regular volunteers and numerous volunteer groups and organizations. And we’ve designed and built more than 100 ramps for persons in need.

But there’s room to grow. We are looking for more partners, volunteers and individuals who need help.
