Description:

Sometimes your schedule may not allow for you to volunteer for events or on committees. Another great way to support veterans in our community is to make donations to a food pantry.  Donation of personal care items, fresh vegetables, frozen foods, and non-perishable foods are greatly appreciated. Cash donations can also be used to purchase items that are needed.

The Linn County Veteran Affairs food pantry is open year-round to qualifying Linn County veterans and their families. Donations are accepted year-round, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Veteran Affairs Office in the Community Services Building of Linn County, 1240 26th Ave. Ct. SW in Cedar Rapids. In 2012, the Veterans Affairs office served more than 3,400 veterans through its food pantry.
