Description:

Planning for the 9th Annual Sleep Out Event will start soon. You have the opportunity to join the planning committee and make next year even more successful than this year.  As a committee member you can share your time and talents to create an impactful event that helps fight homelessness in our community.

Raise awareness in our community about the local problem of homelessness. The Sleep Out raises awareness of the problem and the causes, in addition to raising some funds to help create community solutions. Ultimately Sleep Out is about making our community better for all of us.

This event  isn't about giving participants "a taste" of what it is like to be homeless, although some leave with a tiny glimpse of how challenging such a situation can be. There is no way that a single night, regardless of how cold or wet, can replicate the helplessness and personal pain of truly being homeless.
