The Iowa Veteran's Welcome Center opened it's doors in Fall of 2013 and wants to connect recent veterans and tenured veterans together. The Welcome Center offers a lounge environment where veterans can come socialize, use computers, access resources, shoot pool and more in a substance free environment.

The Welcome Center is looking for donations of board games, lounge furniture, office supplies, paper towels, toilet paper and more. The Welcome Center is open Monday through Saturday, but if you have a donation that can help create a "vet-cave" please call or email prior to dropping it off.

Our purpose is to help meet the needs of all military veterans.

We offer a place for veterans to interact with fellow veterans, network together, and provide the camaraderie that we all have shared while proudly serving our country. We create close interpersonal relationships, trust, and an emotional safety net with all of our veterans. For those veterans in need of lodging, financial, physical or mental assistance; we have the resource information to pass along to them. Our organization offers leisure activities such as pool, ping-pong, darts, card and board games. All of these are at no cost to our veterans.

We are a total non-profit organization and facility. All of our staff members are strictly volunteer. The cost of our organizations day to day operating expenses are and will always be a significant challenge.

Operating funds for our organization are obtained solely from community fund raisers, individual, private, and business donations, and eligible grant awards. All monetary donations to our organization exclusively benefit our organization and our military veterans. We receive neither federal or state government funding nor assistance.

Veterans are always welcome to visit and tour our military veterans' center.
