Our Mission is to grow a just and sustainable community through urban agriculture, urban forestry, and environmental education.

Description:
Statement of Purpose
We believe that our natural resources, beauty, and health are inextricably connected to our community’s resources, beauty and health. As a community, we hold the right and, with it, the responsibilities to increase our environmental, economic, and social well being simultaneously. This is possible by assessing activities based on their sustainability and viewing all processes as interconnected with the natural world. Louisville Grows works to increase awareness on topics of sustainability and organize the resources necessary to put forth projects that foster economic opportunities, environmental health, and community strength.

History:
Louisville Grows was founded in 2009 to assist community groups as they developed community garden and food projects throughout Louisville. Since 2011, the organization has managed the People's Garden in West Louisville. Current programs are Love Louisville Trees, Garden Resource Program, and Seeds and Starts.
