Strawberry Plains Audubon Center is seeking volunteers to help with their annual Hummingbird Migration Celebration & Nature Festival. The dates of the event are September. 7th, 8th, and 9th this year.

Each year they have 8,000-10,000 visitors here for this 3 day event. It takes approximately 125 volunteers per day to operate this festival. It would not be possible without our many wonderful volunteers. They need volunteers in many areas such as parking, admissions, crowd greeters, Volunteers  with knowledge of native plants and hummingbirds are also needed. The volunteers enjoy this festival and usually come back each year if their schedule permits.

There will be training offered if needed, depending on the number of new volunteers received. If you have any physical limitations,  please let them know and they will work with you. They do ask that all volunteers be 18 years or older. If you are under the age of 18 and would like to volunteer, they would ask that you call and  discuss it.

For more information on the festival or to VOLUNTEER, contact Susie Murphy, Volunteer Coordinator, (662) 252-1155 or dmurphy@audubon.org.
