The Fairfield Volunteer Center participates in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Volunteer Service on Monday, January 18, 2010.
The Fairfield Volunteer Center is located in the Fairfield Public Library located at 104 West Adams, open from 9:30am-8:00pm.
This year, the Volunteer Center will strive to provide an entire year's worth of nonperishable products for the Women's and Community Crisis Center serving Jefferson and Wapello counties, located in Ottumwa, Iowa. This will relieve them of this ongoing expense, so they can concentrate on their valuable services to the community.
Some needed products to be donated are: toilet paper, laundry/dishwashing soap, bathing soap, shampoo/creme rinse, cleaning products, garbage bags, light bulbs, baby wipes, hair brushes/combs, shaving cream and razors, wash clothes and towels. Any of these specific items can be dropped off at the Fairfield Volunteer Center's service desk located in the Fairfield Public Library all day long on January 18, 2010 from 9:30am-8:00pm. For later drop offs, please call the Fairfield Volunteer Center at 641-209-9045.
Please take a moment when dropping off your non-perishable items to sign-up as a new volunteer and view the many volunteer opportunities to serve in our community.
The Fairfield Volunteer Center is a nonprofit resource center for the recruitment and coordination of local volunteers whose work enriches the quality of life in our community.
