Celebrate Earth Week With Solon Kids Care

RSS XML FeedBackground Active Apr 7, 2011 to Apr 16, 2011

Families with children of all ages are encouraged to come together to plant a tree on Saturday, April 16th at 2pm at the Solon Nature and Recreation Center. Before "digging in", we'll review the importance of caring for the earth by reading The Lorax by Dr. Seuss and getting the children's thoughts on other ways to make a difference.  There will be a snack available after the tree planting.

When: Saturday, April 16th, 2pm
Where: Solon Nature and Recreation Center. Meet at the D.O.M.E. at the far end of the parking lot.
Bring: Shovels or spades sized for your children if you have them.
Contact: Theresa Bonnema @ (319) 270-4461 or taobonnema@yahoo.com for more information regarding Kids Care projects

Kids Care is dedicated to developing compassion and inspiring a spirit of volunteerism in children of all ages, and to providing opportunities for families to serve together.
