Position title: Board Position
Description: Child Care Resource is seeking community-minded individuals who are passionate about early care and education and who are excited about serving on a Board with a mission to lead our community in making early care and education work. As a Board member, your knowledge and creativity will contribute to ensuring that children birth through age twelve are developing to their full potential and are well-prepared for school and life.
Day, Time, & Place of Board Meetings:: 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:00 in Williston. Ten meetings per year.
Minimum Position Requirements (e.g. serve on sub-committee, attend events): Prepare for and engage in Board and committee meetings and other functions as needed.

Be informed about the organization’s mission, services, policies, and programs.

Make a personal financial contribution to the organization and elicit support from others.

Be an ambassador for the organization.

Suggest possible nominees to the Board who can make significant contributions to the work of the board and the organization.

Keep up-to-date on developments in the organization’s field.

Be aware of and follow all Board policies.

Be willing to accept leadership roles where appropriate.
What screening procedures are required?: Interview (phone or in-person)
Additional screening procedures required: After an initial phone call, as a prospective Board members you will have the opportunity to meet with the Executive Director and a Board representative to learn more about the agency and Board service. If we all feel that the match has potential, you will be offered the opportunity to visit a Board meeting to meet the Board members.
