Volunteer Opportunity - Cat & Small Animal Caregivers
Volunteer Opportunity Details:
Love animals? Want to devote your time to helping homeless animals in need? Volunteer at the MSPCA! We care for over 1,300 animals every year, including cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, birds and more! Animal caregivers provide hands-on care to the animals, ensuring their living environment remains safe, clean and as comfortable as possible. Along with petting, cuddling and playing with the animals, volunteers also clean and disinfect cages and provide appropriate food, water, litter, toys and bedding.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and must attend an orientation and training before they can begin volunteering. Animal Caregivers must be able to commit to a 2-3 hour shift weekly in the morning. Caregivers must be comfortable with cats and a variety of small critters, and will be exposed to cleaning chemicals and bending/lifting. Volunteers will receive on-the-job training.
