English Instructor

Westside nonprofit seeks volunteers to help teach English as a second language to individual and groups of adults. Weekly commitment needed.  Requirements include no criminal record, 3 references and interview. Training provided.  Experience teaching English as second language a plus. College Tutors

Volunteers needed to provide academic support to Tri-C students individually or in small groups.  Two hour weekly commitment.  Flexible days/times and locations. Students, non-degreed persons, or persons with a degree welcome. Training provided.  Must be able to work with diverse populations. Holiday Decorating

Nonprofit serving the grieving of our community seeking volunteers to decorate facility, address holiday cards and bake cookies at their Independence center. Flexible days/times. How to Participate

  1. Register or login to the Volunteer Center.
  2. Search for a volunteer opportunity or use BVU's Volunteer Personality Quiz to help you choose.
  3. Volunteer for at least 4 hours between April 10 and August 31, 2015 (can be earned over multiple dates).
  4. Log your volunteer hours and make your game choice.
  5. BVU will send you an email with instructions to claim your tickets.
