Pinwheels for Prevention
Westside crisis nursery is gearing up for its annual "Pinwheels for Prevention" Awareness Campaign, which will take place from April 1 – 30, 2010, at Tower City Center.  A total of 16,461 pinwheels must be assembled and displayed along the railings at Tower City Center. Each pinwheel represents a case of child abuse and neglect reported to public service agencies in Cuyahoga County.  Volunteers are needed during shifts on the following dates and times: March 27, 9am-4pm, March 29-31, 8-11am and/or 2-7pm and April 30, 2010, 8-11am and/or 2-7pm.

Leadership Conference Volunteers

Women's Leadership Conference to be held Thursday, March 11 at the Embassy Suites Hotel, Independence, Ohio needs volunteers for meet/greet (7:30.am – 9:30); registration (8a.m. – 10 a.m.) and break out session monitors (10:45 a.m. – noon).

Pet Monitor

Westside Animal Rescue Fund is seeking volunteers to help monitor adoptable cats at the new Strongsville Petco on Wednesday mornings, every other Sunday morning, every other Saturday evening, and every other Monday evening.  Must be 18 years old.

How to Participate

  1. Register or login to the Volunteer Center.
  2. Search for a volunteer opportunity or use BVU's Volunteer Personality Quiz to help you choose.
  3. Volunteer for at least 4 hours between April 11 and August 31, 2017 (can be earned over multiple dates).
  4. Log your volunteer hours and make your game choice.
  5. BVU will send you an email with instructions to claim your tickets.
