Volunteers for K-12 classrooms for Summit County

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on February 19, 2014

Junior Achievement creates partnerships between business and education by bringing volunteer role models into classrooms to help students understand how business works. JA programs help teach students about economics, financial literacy and work readiness skills.

This year, we are working to place volunteers with 1200 or more classrooms. Volunteer opportunities are available throughout Portage County in classroom and after school settings. If you are parent, you may especially enjoy volunteering in your child's classroom!

Visit the local programs page of our website at http://www.juniorachievement.org/web/ja-norcentohio/volunteer to see a description of all of our K-12 grade programs and to see a list of our current school partners within Portage County. Check out the link on the JA Website's homepage of a list of volunteer opportunities in your county. Volunteer today to help us bring JA programs to Portage County.

Must be 18 or older. There is an orientation and training for the different lessons that will be implemented. Volunteers must also provide their own transportation.
