Volunteer Opportunity - Love a project with immediate results? Hands On Health

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on February 17, 2015

Opportunities are available for outdoor clean-up projects including weeding and brush removal at various service sites, inside jobs to include painting/refreshing hallways, classrooms, group spaces. As we head into the winter months, a little fall cleaning will help maintain the outdoor spaces around our centers. Interior projects will help to brighten up the spaces in our homeless shelter and childcare centers. Spring and summer outdoor projects can include cleaning up brush and leaves and planting flowers.

These opportunities are available on an occasional basis. All are physically demanding tasks. Volunteers must have own transportation. Groups of students and youths must have adult leaders.

Neighborhood House has been part of Lorain history. I grew up playing at neighborhood house in the summer as a child. My aunt worked there for years and my mom volunteered. It is an honor to volunteer for them since i believe in what they do..
