Organization - Coats For Kids - Cleveland

Organization Details:

Coats For Kids - Cleveland
Last updated on September 29, 2014

To put a coat on every child in need during the winter seasons in Northeast Ohio.

Description:
We collect new and gently worn coats to be distributed in Northeast Ohio. Gently worn coats are cleaned by our cleaning partner and brought back to our donated warehouse to be sorted, counted and boxed for distribution. Also at our warehouse we sort the incoming gently worn coats to be cleaned.

History:
In 1981 folks were calling the radio station asking for help getting coats for their children for the winter. Our first season saw us give away 500 coats. In 2008 we gave away over 26,000 coats.
