Volunteers will promote the Healing Garden and Labyrinth, meet with associated groups and individuals, assist in planning/organizing events/fundraisers, provide information regarding volunteer days, send event notices to the press, maintain supply/distribute Garden brochures, assist with other administrative needs as a committee member, and attend Healing Garden Committee meetings. Hours are as designated by committee members.
Volunteers should have the ability to network with Northern Virginia businesses, neighbors and professional/local organizations, should possess impeccable communication and organization skills, and should have a willingness to become educated about the Healing Garden and Labyrinth. Public relations, fundraising experience, and foreign language proficiency would also be helpful. A 6-month minimum commitment is required.
