Approximately 2000 books will be available for FREE in Fairfax on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 10a.m. to 7p.m. The event is sponsored by Diana's Books, a nonprofit agency that shares knowledge through the reuse and sale of books to benefit people in Kenya, Zambia, and the Philippines.
Over half of the books are sorted by category, which includes children’s, spirituality, Christian, business, personal finance, biography, history, politics, uncorrected proofs, gay fiction, travel, and computers. There are several hundred novels, both hardback and paperback. There is a lovely set of leather bound National Geographics and a master Russian-English/English-Russian dictionary. Approximately half of the items are recently withdrawn from inventory and are valued between $2-$3, but are still offered to the public for free. All paperback novels, and many of the other books, will be recycled for paper after this event, so please, come, check it out.
