Over the Holidays and throughout the year we receive many clothing donations. These donations must be sorted through, folded and then stocked in our clothing room. Currently our clothing room is a disaster area and we need help getting it organized. Often there is a portion of these donations that do not meet the needs of our clients, and we donate these items to Goodwill. It would be helpful if this Volunteer were able to drop off these items to a Goodwill. Though this may not seem like the most exciting Volunteer opportunity, it is very important role to help ensure that our Opportunity Place drop-in location runs smoothly and that donated items are available to our clients who need them. This opportunity is very flexible in regard to time so long as you are available weekday, daytime hours. We are looking for someone willing to come in once or twice a week who would like to take charge of establishing and maintaining order in the clothing room. There is really no training requirement. The Volunteer Coordinator will work with you in the beginning to establish a protocol or routine for sorting donations and stocking them into the clothing room. This may be done by an individual or by up to three people working together.
This opportunity is sponsored by: Arlington Street People's Assistance Network
