AARP Tax-Aide
| Last updated on May 27, 2013 |
AARP is the American Association of Retired Persons. The AARP Tax-Aide Program is the nation's largest, free, volunteer-run tax preparation and assistance service. It serves low and middle income tax payers with special attention to those 60 and older.
Description:
Each year in January we train new and returning volunteers to prepare them for the new tax season. No experience is necessary but you should be comfortable working with numbers and using a computer. Fluency in a second language, especially Spanish, is helpful. Volunteers work between February 1 and April 15, usually two half-days per week at designated sites in the greater Houston area.
