AVA (Alliance for the Visual Arts) Gallery and Art Center is dedicated to promoting the visual arts through year-round exhibitions and educational programs that nurture, support and challenge New Hampshire and Vermont artists, and to providing art classes for children, teens and adults of all levels and abilities.

AVA Gallery and Art Center is centrally located at 11 Bank St in Lebanon, New Hampshire, and easily reached by audiences from all parts of the state. AVA is in the Lebanon Central Village District, which is comprised of retail shops, restaurants, banking institutions, open public spaces, the Lebanon Public Library, the Lebanon Junior High School, as well as a wonderful residential area. AVA’s programs, including special events that foster interaction between artists, patrons of the arts and the general public, are dedicated to recognizing art’s enriching contribution to our lives. Scholarship, internship and volunteer opportunities are an integral part of AVA.
History:
AVA Gallery and Art Center– originally incorporated as Community Gallery, Inc. – is a nonprofit community arts organization that has been serving Vermont and New Hampshire residents for since 1973. And since 1990, AVA has been located in the former H. W. Carter & Sons overall factory at 11 Bank Street in Lebanon, New Hampshire. The building was acquired by AVA in 2003, and in September 2007 a year-long, $4.5 million-dollar renovation of this Lebanon landmark was successfully completed, and was awarded a LEED (Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design) Gold certificate. AVA houses 8 studios and other educational spaces, spacious galleries for exhibitions, and private artist studios.
