Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Elysian Hospice volunteers visit patients directly, providing conversation, recorded music, book reading or prayer depending on the needs of the patient and beliefs of the volunteer. They may also attend funerals, or help in the office to provide clerical work, bereavement calls etc. The volunteers can do as much or as little as they are able and comfortable with on their own time. We provide service in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex including Allen, Frisco, Southlake, Carrollton, Mesquite, McKinney, Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Lancaster, Duncanville and Seagoville. We offer free training, a certificate of completion, ongoing hospice education, a volunteer hand book to reference, a company badge, recognition events, mileage reimbursement and a family atmosphere of support. We are looking for ages 18 and older, regardless of nationality, religion or gender. Become a part of our team and make a difference, one patient at a time.
