Description:
Chestnut Square is a Historic Village located near downtown McKinney. We have seven buildings dating from the late 1800's to 1900's which we preserve and maintain as a way to show people how the early settlers of McKinney lived. We also are here to teach and educate our children the history and ways of life during those times.

History:
Chestnut Square was started over 30 years ago by a few women of McKinney with a long term vision. They purchased two homes, which was the start of Chestnut Square Historic Village. We have grown from two buildings to a total of seven. What a wonderful vision these few ladies had and have given to the City of McKinney.
