Point Person needed at homeless shelter

Point Person needed to alleviate Morning Madness.

The morning hours at the homeless shelter are extremely busy, much like in our own homes. People need access to phones, showers, and the case worker. A volunteer that could answer the phone, make personal hygiene supplies available, answer basic questions and offer encouragement for the day ahead would be a tremendous asset to our program. Volunteers with good listening skills, a penchant for advocacy and the ability to have a calming effect in the midst of organized chaos will enjoy this opportunity. Volunteers are needed between 9-12 noon any weekday.

We would prefer adults over the age of 25. Orientation to the day center will be done on a one-to-one basis.

Sponsored by City Of Danbury-Welfare Division.
