FRIENDLY VISITOR TRAINING

Next Volunteer Training Session

August 14th & 16th in New Milford

The next Friendly Visitor training session will be held at the New Milford Senior Center at 40 Main Street. The training will take place over two days -- Saturday, August 14th from 9 am to noon and Monday, August 16th from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD. We are very proud of this program that matches seniors with those who care -- people just like you. To register for this training, please contact Betsy, the program manager, at (203) 797-1154.

After completing the six-hour training, volunteers are matched (based on location, time availability and common interests) with lonely, isolated senior citizens in the greater Danbury/New Milford area to provide weekly companionship visits.

Many seniors are waiting for a special friend.
