Do you like to giftwrap?  If so, please consider volunteering for a shift at the Danbury Fair mall anytime between December 12-24th.  Giftwrapping will occur between the hours of 11-8 with longer hours on weekends and closer to Christmas.   The giftwrap station is a busy place, filled with wrapping supplies and energetic volunteers.  This is a great opportunity for families and friends to get together and provide a valuable service to shoppers which benefits The Volunteer Center serving Western CT.  If you are interested, please contact Betty at The Volunteer Center at 203-797-1154 or betty@volunteerdanbury.org. 

The new Youth Volunteer Corps of Western CT (YVC) will be providing a coat and package checkroom at the Danbury Fair mall from December 12-24th at an empty storefront.  The YVC provides youth ages 11-18 with an opportunity to discuss community issues and then plan service projects to address those issues.  The coat and package check will generate funds to be used for the implementation of the service projects.  We are especially looking for youth ages 11-18 who would like to be at this event.  You can use the hours you volunteer for any non-court required community service.  We are also looking for adults who can help us with this event.  No giftwrapping required!  Please contact Betty at The Volunteer Center at 203-797-1154 or betty@volunteerdanbury.org if you can volunteer.
