Junior Achievement empowers young people to own their economic success. Our volunteer delivered Kindergarten through high school programs foster work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire kids to dream big and reach their potential.
Description:
Junior Achievement offers a wide variety of programs for students from Kindergarten through the 12th grade. The programs are free to the schools and are designed to educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise, business and economics to improve the quality of their lives. The programs are dynamic and interactive to enhance learning.
History:
Junior Achievement, founded in 1919, is a not-for profit organization financed by businesses, foundations and individuals. Junior Achievement of Western Connecticut services over 20,000 students each school year.
