Connecticut Food Bank's mission is to alleviate hunger. We strive to do this by supplying food products and resources to eligible agencies throughout our service areas, and by promoting public awareness about the problem of hunger.
Description: CT Food Bank (CFB) serves six out CT's eight counties including Litchfield, Fairfield, East Haven, Middlesex, New London and Windham through its three facilities in East Haven, Fairfield and Waterbury. CFB transports, warehouses and distributes donated food throughout these areas. The food is distributed to over 650 soup kitchens, shelters, food pantries and day programs. In addition, our services are offered through two subsidiary organizations in Stamford and New London.
History: CT Food Bank has been is existence since 1982 and is a non-profit 501-3C organization.
