The Museum is dedicated to preservation of artifacts and education of United States military history. The emphasis is 20th century mechanized warfare. The Museum owns many one-of-a-kind vehicles and similar artifacts.
Description: We operate a 10,000 square foot museum near the Danbury Fair Mall plus a large outdoor display space. Within the Museum, we have a combination of static and rotating displays, a library and a gift store. We also carry out a full schedule of activities, including our popular open-turret day and restoration.
The entire museum is volunteer run, except for one full-time paid employee who acts as executive director.
History: We started in 1985 with a small group of collectors. We opened the Museum several years later in a donated building and gradually grew the base of volunteers and members. We operate daily in spring-summar-fall and reduced hours in winter.

From Interstate 84 (either direction), take Exit 3; follow signs to the Danbury Mall and military museum to Park Ave. At the bottom of the ramp, you will be facing the Danbury Fair Mall.
Turn right at the stop light onto Park Ave. The Museum is about 1/2 mile ahead on the left.
