TBICO - The Bridge to Independence & Career Opportunities provides individuals with a comprehensive range of employment-related training, services, adult basic education, mentoring and financial literacy education to enable them to find quality jobs and become self-sufficient. There is no charge for any of our services.
By teaching people marketable skills and helping them to secure good jobs, we help families escape poverty. When the cycle of poverty is broken, the positive effects ripple and multiply throughout our community indefinitely.
Description:
TBICO is a non-profit,community based organization offering job training,technology training and employment support. Our training program is business focused and taught by business teachers. We focus on providing practical business skills, getting students on a career path with opportunities for advancement, and helping them succeed to self sufficiency.
History:
Founded in 1993, what began as an informal speakers club for people with disabilities is now a thriving nonprofit organization that has helped hundreds of people improve their lives -- by providing them with personal and professional tools, financial literacy, corporate environment training and long-term work-related support services.
