Ann's Place, The Home of I CAN is a non-profit cancer support and resource center providing comfort and support to anyone living with cancer and their loved ones - free of charge.
Description:
Ann's Place, The Home of I CAN is an independent, non-profit agency that offers comfort and support to anyone living with cancer and their loved ones - men, women and children - free of charge. We are the primary community resource center for families in our service area who need cancer-related counseling, group support and/or other supportive services. The agency is totally supported by contributions, grants and fundraising event proceeds. Our services include: Group Support (20 types of groups available), Individual and Family Counseling, Informational Resources, Loaned Medical Equipment,Need-based Financial Aid, Peer Mentor Program,and Community Education Programs.
History:
I CAN,Inc. began offering support services in 1991. Ann's Place, The Home of I CAN is a combination name that pays tribute to the vision of the Founders of I CAN (Patricia Bragdon, Ph.D. and Mary Burke) and honors the namesake, Ann Olsen, whose memorial Endowment provided sustaining funds to the Agency throughout its formative years.
