Mission: To document, preserve and interpret the architecture, household furnishings, tools, utensils and the lifestyle of the middle 19th century and early 20th century immigrants to the state of Wisconsin. This is accomplished through primary and secondary research into family histories, accurate restoration of the immigrant homes, farm buildings and village shops and recreation of farms and village life. This process is enhanced through the museum's program of special events, which highlight important aspects of life in rural Wisconsin from 1840 to 1915.
