Description:
Interfaith volunteers provide "good neighbor" assistance including transportation to medical appointments or grocery stores/food pantries, in-home or phone visits, light housekeeping, minor home repair, occasional meal preparation, and minor yard maintenance including grass cutting and snow shoveling. By matching seniors with an Interfaith volunteer, we allow seniors to have access to medical care and good nutrition as well as to live in a safe environment.
History:
Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County became a non-profit (501c3)in March 2005. In 2009 we obtained our first transport vans, allowing volunteers to transport more frequently than they would have with their own vehicle.
