Volunteers Agree to:

• Carry out each volunteer assignment in accordance to the direction of the volunteer supervisor
• Fulfill their commitment or notify the designated person early enough so that a substitute can be found
• Follow behavioral guidelines established by the organization, such as dress, decorum, etc.
• Keep agency and client information confidential

Volunteers agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Volunteer Center of Story County (VCSC) from any and all claims, liability, loss, damage, or expense resulting from, relating to, or arising out of any relationship existing, pre-existing, or proposed between the Client Agency and VCSC, or expense resulting from, relating to, or arising out of any relationship existing, pre-existing, or prosed between the Client Agency and VCSC, or arising out of or related acts of activities of any individual referred by VCSC to a Client Agency whether arising in tort or contract, whether stemming from injury to person or damage to property, and whether resulting from malfeasance, nonfeasance, or misfeasance.

Is is expressly understood and agreed that the relationship of the Volunteer to VCSC is that of independent contractor and no agency relationship, either expressed or implied, and no employer-employee relationship is intended by virtue of the agreement, existing, pre-existing, or proposed between the Volunteer and VCSC, and no liability is assumed by VCSC as to acts or activities of individuals referred by VCSC.

The Volunteer Center of Story County reserves the right to refuse registration to any person or organization whose actions, volunteer program and/or purpose is determined to be contrary to the values of the Volunteer Center of Story County.

The inclusion of any organization or person in this database does not constitute a representation, warranty, or endorsement with respect to the competence, suitability, or reliability of such organization or person by Volunteer Center of Story County; nor does Volunteer Center of Story County sponsor or endorse any third-party web site.
