Residents at Bethany Manor love to play Kings on the Corner(a card game), dominoes are a favorite too! They love it when volunteers come play with them to give them a new and fun challenge. This is a fun way to get to know residents and interact with them.

The Women with Initiative program is seeking volunteers to provide child care for the children of women participating in a financial education program aimed at helping them build confidence and achieve self sufficiency. Children ages birth to 12 years of age. Age appropriate toys, equipment and supplies will be provided.
People Place is looking for volunteers to assist with childcare while their parents participate in parent education support group classes. Help provide a warm, caring and positive atmosphere modeling patience, encouragement and respect.

Organize, sort and help in a free clothes pantry during open hours. Sat. 10-12 AM, Sun. 1 -3 PM, Wed. 4 -6 PM more
Every afternoon at 2:00pm Bethany Manor has a coffee hour provided for residents and visitors. Volunteers are welcome to come sit, visit, and enjoy some snacks and coffee or tea with the residents. This is a great way to meet new residents and hear some of their amazing life stories.
Every week day, Youth and Shelter Services benefits from area business who donate food items to our Rosedale Shelter, 712 and Youth Recover Homes, Transitional Living and Family Development Programs.
Volunteer Drivers are needed on an ongoing basis to help pick up these donated items from area businesses and deliver them
The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Central Iowa needs a coordinator for our annual garage sale in August.
