WHAT IS IT?
The web-based meetings will detail the WATERshed experience, which expands on the renowned WATER program your students went through in 4th grade.
We are looking for volunteers to assist with educational trips to the beach with Nancy Carlson, Racine's most experienced Naturalist. Volunteers will learn how to rotate students through a series of stations studying, sampling, interpreting, reflecting, and experiencing a healthy beach and dune ecosystem. There is no other place in the Great Lakes you can have a program like this. Milwaukee schools are traveling to RACINE just to experience this. You have it in your backyard, so now's your chance to make use of it!
Undergraduate and graduate credit is available. (for an additional cost)
It is a truly amazing opportunity for everyone- from those interested in water, to education students who want to learn by volunteering. Volunteers and teachers interested in attending may simply RSVP to Todd Brennan at tbrennan@greatlakes.org with your name, email, phone number, and the organization you are affiliated with. You will then receive a registration notification and link via email for the webinar.
We hope to see you at the webinar! Have a great day.
