MPS is hosting its 6th annual "MPS Run Back To School" event on Saturday August 24, 2013. This is a 5K run and 1.5 mile walk to kick-off the 2013-2014 school year on a healthy note, while raising funds to support MPS Youth Sports Programs.

We are looking for a dedicated group of volunteers the day of the run to assist in two areas: Race course marshals/sentries and station aids for water distribution along the course.

Walk-up registration starts at 7:30am so we are asking all volunteers to arrive at 7am at Wick Playfield located at 4929 W. Vliet Street. We are asking volunteers to plan for a 4 hour time commitment. Volunteer assignments will conclude at 11am. Parking will be available in the Central Services parking lot at 5225 W. Vliet Street. All volunteers will receive a T-shirt and refreshments.

Volunteers should be prepared to be on their feet for most of the event. We are asking all interested volunteers to complete a volunteer sign-up form and submit it to the Recreation Division.
