Workers Needed for Riverfront Park and Other Trails

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

YRPA is in constant need of volunteers. From March Through October of each year we are active in the parks along the Yellowstone River in the Billings area. There are work opportunities throughout the week, and we usually have a group activity on Saturday mornings. Projects include gravel trail building, tree planting, and construction of benches, picnic shelters, bridges and information kiosks. For over 20 years, YRPA's work is readily visible in parks and trails in this area.

While experience is useful, it is not necessary. YRPA trains through doing. We are adaptable to all skill and ability levels. However, we have a genuine need for volunteers with experience using landscaping and other heavy equipment. Our activities are nor appropriate for children under age 12. Volunteers should bring eye protection and wear sturdy gloves and shoes/boots. Sun screen also and water are also recommended.
