Opportunities with Zoo Montana

Zoo Montana and the Master Gardeners are looking for volunteers to help maintain the zoo's beautiful Sensory Garden. The Sensory Garden sets the stage for weddings, retreats, and general public enjoyment. The Master Gardeners come to work in the Sensory Garden Monday and Tuesday mornings from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. Sometimes, if many volunteers come to help, the gardeners provide lemonade and snacks! Basic grounds and building cleaning. We clean the inside of our main building every day and do an overview of exterior grounds and cleaning weekly. We need as many hands possible to help us keeping the Zoo looking great! Duties include cleaning of bathrooms, indoor/outdoor trash pick-up and removal and other projects as needed. more

Purpose: To aid ZooMontana in admitting visitors into the zoo and assisting guests. Description: Admit visitors, inform the public about exhibits, events and activities at the zoo, and provide general information to the public. more

Like to get your hands dirty? Are you itching to get outside after a long winter? Come to the Zoo and help get the grounds ready for spring/summer! Tasks will include weed pulling, cleaning up dead leaves, cleaning scat from sidewalks, planting, setting up sprinklers, etc. more

Provide in depth information to visitors about ZooMontana and all of the species housed at the zoo. Tours are scheduled two weeks ahead so docents may choose their own schedule. more
