Description:
Through our non-profit organization, we provide advocacy, education, and resources to families of children with sensory processing challenges, autism, and other developmental challenges.

History:
Sensory Kids was founded by and is run by parents of children with special needs. We began the Sensory Kids Family Support Group in 2009 and have been meeting monthly ever since. As time passed, we struggled to find the unique community resources our families needed. The need for a parent resource center became apparent and we collaborated with community partners to begin developing the Sensory Kids Sensory Gym and Parent Resource Center. We give special thanks to the Dream Center of Las Cruces (1400 N. 6th St. in Las Cruces) for donating the space to make our Sensory Gym and Parent Resource Center possible.
