Join one of United Way for Southeastern Michigan's partner organizations, Lighthouse of Oakland County, for the USGA Senior Open Championship!

Lighthouse of Oakland County has been chosen as the charity of choice to provide volunteers for this year's USGA Senior Open. This year's Senior Open will take place July 9th through July 15th at the Indianwood Golf & Country Club in Lake Orion. This is a great chance to see a major champtionship, and see major players like Fred Couples and Tom Watson!

Volunteers are needed to assist with running concession stands during the tournament to raise funds to support Lighthouse programs for low-income Oakland County families. Volunteers should:

  • Be 18 years of age or older (Volunteers under 21 will only be involved with assembling sandwiches and assisting with volunteer check-in)
  • Be able to do minimal manual labor and remain on their feet for long periods of time
  • Wear a white, collared golf shirt with khaki pants, skirts, skorts or knee-length shorts, along with black or white gym/tennis shoes
