The objective for this opportunity is to develop and coordinate a bi-annual community fund raising drive, "Change for Children".
The Community Philanthropy Coordinator (CPC) will:
*work closely with the Chief Development Officer to strategize on the plan.
*recruit businesses and organizations in western Wayne County to participate.

Children and Youth Volunteers interact and play with the many children who are staying at the emergency shelter. They play with them in the beautiful, well-equipped play room and outside in the play yard. They also accompany the children on various field trips. Children and Youth Volunteers have the opportunity
Volunteers assist children entering foster care by assembling duffel bags and backpacks filled with essential and comfort items. Volunteers sort and organize donations, maintain inventory logs and deliver filled bags to several locations. Volunteers shop for needed items to keep an adequate supply of necessary articles on hand. Volunteers

Connect Your Community is a broadband technology initiative to connect Detroit residents to the internet. Administrative tasks may include the following:
•calling participants for program
•providing assistance to instructors
•filing and clerical duties
•assisting with orientation
•class preparation
•tutoring class participants
